Way of the Cross with St. Paul

The cross of Jesus Christ held a central place in the thought and teaching og the Apostle Paul. Christ’s offering of himself as a sacrifice on the cross was for Paul the turning point in human history. The Stations of the Cross are a much loved devotion in the Catholic Church, particularly so during the season of Lent. In this year , devoted to the memory of the great Apostle, the Church invites us to ponder Paul’s life and teaching, and on the perenial value of that teaching. These meditations on our Lord’s sufferings, the ‘Way of the cross’, draw their inspiration from the letters of Saint Paul. With him as guide, our understanding and appreciation of our Lord’s sufferings can only be immeasurably enhanced.
